All Hands On Deck in Preparation of Storms - Schools, Utilities, Law Enforcement and Fire

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Preparing for storms on days like today involves multiple departments and services at nearly every level throughout Rutherford County and within the various municipalities. Utility providers aren't the only ones that stand ready when large scale storms are predicted. Both Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools decided around 24-hours ahead of time - to make the call on dismissing 3-hours early on Tuesday... That was City Schools Communications Director Lisa Trail. Trail told WGNS what happens when schools are dismissed 3-hours early...

Local law enforcement agencies are also prepared for added shifts as needed, just as fire departments who are also prepared for swift water rescues, should flooding occur.
