Murfreesboro, TN - On Tuesday (4/2/2024) evening, Greenhouse Ministries began its third season of talks to stimulate community thinking. Forensic Pathologist Dr. Hugh Berryman attracted a large crowd to hear him tell how he identified skeletal remains at crime scenes across the nation.
He studied under Dr. William Bass at the U.T. body farm in Knoxville.
Dr. Berryman noted that TV shows and movies that focus on forensic science has brought much interest to the topic. He said the public is fascinated in how detectives solve crimes using forensic science, plus--this community really needs a forensic center . . .
Dr. Berryman is a Professor Emeritus from MTSU's Department of Sociology and Anthropology. He is internationally known for his expertise in the area of blunt force trauma, skeletal remains and osteology. In fact, this Murfreesboro resident is one of only three forensic anthropologists in Tennessee and seventy-four in the nation who are certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology.
Greenhouse' Education Coordinator Connie Huddleston announced that the next public talk will be at 6:00 o'clock Tuesday night May 14th. Dr. Emily Baran will talk on "Why is Russia afraid of Jehova's Witnesses?"
Greenhouse' Co-Founder Cliff Sharp stressed that the new facility is for the betterment of every segment of this community . . .
