MURFREESBORO, TN - In the ongoing saga of the stolen trailer in Murfreesboro, authorities have made progress in cracking the case but are still on the lookout for a missing piece of the puzzle. The theft, which occurred late last month on March 24, 2024, has left detectives scratching their heads as they pursue leads and search for clues.

MPD Detective Aaron Gonzales, the sleuth leading the investigation, has managed to identify the driver of the truck involved in the heist. However, the passenger remains a mystery. It's a classic case of half the duo being known while the other half remains elusive, leading authorities to reach out to the public for assistance.

The not-so-daring duo were captured on surveillance video in action as they brazenly maneuvered a dark-colored pickup truck into Secure Storage Rooms on Lascassas Pike and allegedly stole a trailer. Cameras recorded the driver backing his truck up to a trailer, followed by both the driver and passenger exiting the single cab pickup. Once out, they proceeded to walk to the rear of their vehicle and hook someone else's trailer to their truck. After hitching the trailer to the truck, the duo hopped back in and hit the gas – and away they went.

"Video footage shows that the enclosed trailer was white in color and had a large sticker bearing a business name and logo on the sides and rear stating 'Unique Exteriors,' making it a conspicuous target for the audacious crooks."

These individuals aren't just persons of interest in the trailer theft; they're also suspected of involvement in another nefarious incident at the same business on the very same day. It's a double whammy for law enforcement, who are eager to bring these two subjects to justice and put an end to their reported thieving spree.

Can You Help Police: If you happen to possess any tidbits of information that could help crack this caper wide open, don't hesitate to reach out to Detective Gonzales at (629) 201-5638 or shoot him an email at 0992@murfreesborotn.gov. Your tip could be the missing link to close the case.
