A burglary alarm first alerted Murfreesboro Police around 4 a.m. this past weekend. Once on the scene, Police Officers found a stolen car that was left abandoned at the store.

The preliminary investigation indicates that two men quickly went inside the business and stole multiple firearms. A third person waited outside in a dark colored 4-door sedan, believed to be used as the getaway car. Matthew Smitty with Bullseye said in a video that was posted on social media... The search for the suspects continues on Monday. The case is under investigation by the MPD Criminal Investigations Division.

Reports indicate that along with MPD detectives, agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) are also trying to determine the identity of the thieves and were on the scene with police in the 4 o'clock hour on Saturday.

A similar incident occurred in Smyrna just a few weeks before the Bullseye break-in. There, authorities are also looking for information on the suspects who are responsible for the break-in.

The crime occurred when unknown subjects ran a vehicle into the Southern Bunker. Once the criminals breached the building, they helped themselves to multiple weapons and ammunition. The incident happened on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

A security camera captured most of the burglary on video as it unfolded. When store owners arrived on the scene, they found a car that still had the engine running and the trunk open. The front end of the Hyundai sedan was wrecked, after it was believed to have slammed into the storefront of the brand new business. So far, the thieves have not been identified.

The Smyrna store is located in a strip center in the 300 block of Sam Ridley Parkway.

In 2018, four Nashville men were arrested on federal charges after being tied to five separate burglaries at gun stores in Tennessee and Southern Kentucky (See 2018 article here).
