Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have fallen 10.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.04/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 27.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 12.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 1.8 cents in the last week and stands at $3.82 per gallon.
AAA – The Auto Club, reports that gas prices in Rutherford County are starting off the week under the $3 mark. The price of regular unleaded is averaging $2.98 per gallon. South of Murfreesboro in Bedford County, gas is averaging $2.96 per gallon. North of Rutherford County in the Lebanon area, gas is averaging $2.94 per gallon. Neighboring Cannon County has higher prices for your hot rod, with prices averaging $3.01 per gallon for regular unleaded.
HIGHEST PRICED FUEL on MONDAY: Meanwhile in Williamson County, motorist are not enjoying the pains of a dry tank. The Bentwood / Franklin area are once again seeing the highest prices in the state with an average price of $3.53 per gallon for regular unleaded, according to AAA.
LOWEST PRICED FUEL on MONDAY: The lowest prices in the Volunteer State can be found in Henry County, where the average price at the pump is $2.87 per gallon. Henry County is on the state line of Kentucky in Northwestern portion of Tennessee. In East Tennessee, the Chattanooga community is also seeing low prices at the pump, with the average price holding at $2.87 per gallon for Hamilton County.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 5.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.50/g today. The national average is down 15.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 1.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
