A Nashville man was taken into custody yesterday by Metro Nashville Police Warrant officers in Rutherford County for the June 2021 fatal crash that killed Zavier Dunlap on Trinity Lane. 43-Year-old William Demarcus Tribue was shown through evidence to be the driver of the Dodge Charger traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when it ran off the roadway and overturned.

Despite Tribue denying he was the operator of the Charger at the time of the crash, the investigation, led by MNPD Crash Investigator Christopher Valdez, ultimately revealed that he was behind the wheel.

Dunlap died at the scene of the Trinity Lane crash in Nashville in 2021.

Tribue was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. The backseat passenger of the Charger was transported as well with non-life threatening injuries.

Tribue was charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication and vehicular assault. He is now jailed in lieu of $101,000 bond.
