MURFREESBORO, TN - A fatal shooting is currently under investigation in Murfreesboro. The incident was reported at 8:01 PM on Thursday night on Nightshade Drive.
Detectives from the Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigations Division are working to determine what led to the incident, which resulted in the deaths of both the victim and the gunman who pulled the trigger. Police told WGNS on Friday morning the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide and assures the public that there is no “...threat to the community.”
The shooting occurred on Nightshade Drive, near Scales Elementary School and St. Andrews Drive in Murfreesboro. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
