Murfreesboro, TN – Going on now (Monday July 22, 2024), crews from the Rutherford County Road Department will be repaving Old Nashville Highway. The current schedule calls for paving operations that will impact entrances into the Stones River National Battlefield now through Friday July 26th and Monday July 29th.

Paving operations may cause minor delays of up to fifteen minutes for visitors exiting the park through the visitor center gate. Access to the tour road entrance at Van Cleve Lane, Stones River National Cemetery and the Hazen Brigade Monument at Tour Stop 5 may be temporarily blocked.

Park officials recommend that visitors enter the park using the main entrance at 1563 N. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN and ask that drivers exercise caution and follow all flagger directions when entering and driving on Old Nashville Highway.
