Murfreesboro, TN - Businesses that are located within Murfreesboro's Historic District will have an opportunity to make improvements, thanks to a grant that is being applied for by Main Street Murfreesboro. The grant will go to communities that receive the greenlight to receive the earmarked funds provided by the State of Tennessee's Department of Economic and Community Development.

Executive Director Sarah Callender explained, "This is a highly competitive grant made available to Tennessee Main Street programs with a maximum funding of $300,000 per community." Main Street Murfreesboro's application will be submitted at the end of August and evaluated based on project need, impact, plan, feasibility, and community support.

The deadline for notifying Sarah Callender at Main Street Murfreesboro your interest in a pre-application is August 12, 2024.  A required interest meeting will be held at 5:30 PM that evening in the Main Street office to learn more about applying.
