MURFREESBORO, TN – Local non-profit organization Journeys In Community Living is gearing up for its Annual Partners in the Journey Fundraiser, an essential event dedicated to raising vital funds for their Supported Living Program. This year's event promises an evening of music, community support, and generosity, all aimed at making a significant impact.

Attendees can look forward to an unforgettable experience, featuring live performances by country music sensations Lewis Brice and Pryor Baird. The event will also host a live auction, offering exclusive trips, luxurious vacations, fine dining experiences, and more. Dinner will be provided by Tennessee Craft Butcher, ensuring a memorable culinary experience for all guests.

The fundraiser offers a unique opportunity to mingle with fellow community members, enjoy exceptional music, and contribute to a cause that makes a difference. By supporting Journeys In Community Living, attendees help empower people with disabilities and older adults to live, work, and socialize as they choose.

Since its founding in 1975, Journeys In Community Living has been committed to supporting adults with disabilities in Rutherford and Cannon counties. The organization offers a comprehensive range of services, including employment training, healthcare oversight, residential and transportation assistance, and community engagement opportunities. Currently, they empower over 100 individuals to pursue their dreams of independent living.

This year, the focus is on expanding the Supported Living Program to better serve the community. The $180,000 project includes making homes handicapped accessible, transforming an eight-person group home into a duplex, and providing rent supplements to those whose expenses surpass their fixed income. Achieving these milestones requires the indispensable support of donors and volunteers.

Journeys In Community Living believes in the collective responsibility to make the world a better place. Through the dedication of their staff, board members, donors, and volunteers, they strive to provide essential services that empower older adults and individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
