📺Construction Accident Causes Gas Leak in Murfreesboro, Traffic Disrupted

Murfreesboro, TN – The Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department (MFRD) responded swiftly to a ruptured gas line incident at the intersection of Medical Center Parkway and Livy Dearing Place earlier today. The gas line was accidentally struck by construction crews working in the area, prompting an immediate response from local emergency services.

Atmos Energy crews were called to the scene to cap and repair the damaged gas line. As a precaution, firefighters monitored the air quality in the vicinity and inside nearby businesses to ensure no dangerous fumes were present. No injuries were reported.

In response to the gas leak, Murfreesboro Police shut down three lanes of traffic along Medical Center Parkway. Westbound drivers had to be rerouted onto Livy Dearing Place and Robert Rose Drive to manage traffic flow as repairs got underway.
