Foundation hosts Serve it Up Doubles Tennis and Pickleball Tournament

MURFREESBORO, TN ¾ The City Schools Foundation will serve up a Doubles Tennis Tournament on November 8, 9 and 10 at Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro. Players can compete in Men's, Women's, or High School level-based doubles divisions. This tournament is open all levels of experience with two guaranteed matches. Tournament registration is hosted through Universal Tennis (UTR) and supported by Diadem Sports. 

The second annual tennis event will be held on Friday and Saturday with pickleball on Sunday. Registration is $60 ($30 per person) for a doubles team. Registration is now open at https://bit.ly/cityschoolsfoundationserveitup. Format for the tennis tournament will be two sets of six with a 10-point super breaker. Register at Universal Tennis and search for The City Schools Foundation.

Pickleball will be held Sunday only and will have limited registration. This doubles tournament will be 11-point format with a level-based draw and two guaranteed matches. The tournament is for beginner to intermediate recreational play.

On Friday, September 20, The City Schools Foundation Board will deliver over $72,000 in teacher grant checks to City schools, thanks to events like these!

Money raised by The City Schools Foundation benefits Murfreesboro City Schools’ Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $1.3 million in parity funds and grants to teachers to enhance science, math, arts, and other programs.
