“I was a patient at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford and set for early surgery. I am writing to tell you what a great job my prep-op nurse did on this day.” This month’s Heart for Healing honoree is Kristi Crass. The patient continued, “Kristi explained what was going to happen, and made me comfortable and relaxed. She was extremely knowledgeable and kept me updated. Kristi even came back to check on me after her shift ended. Her care and compassion for patients can not be overstated!
