Murfreesboro's Liberty's Station: Two Years of Community Impact and Job Training

Murfreesboro, TN—Liberty’s Station, a community-funded cafe, venue and job training center, is proud to celebrate its two-year anniversary of serving our community. Since officially opening in September 2022, Liberty’s Station has been dedicated to empowering individuals with employment obstacles by providing meaningful job training and placement opportunities. A ribbon cutting anniversary ceremony will be held at 8:30am on November 7 th , 2024 at 850 NW Broad Street in Murfreesboro.

Occupational Therapy Assistant, Delaney Neal shared, "In just the two years that Liberty's Station has been serving the community, the impact it's made is overwhelming, not only on those lives that we serve, but in our community's hearts by showing the power of inclusivity in the workplace. Participants of the program have proven it to be a success by growing their skills, confidence, and talents to realize their potential. God is certainly at work here."

Liberty’s Station’s innovative approach to job training involves hands-on experience in real- world environments, where participants are coached in a variety of fields, including food service, retail, and customer relations. With the support of local businesses and organizations, Liberty's Station has successfully placed many graduates into permanent positions, helping them take the next steps toward meaningful careers.

Alicia Stachura, Vice President of Amelia's Closet and Liberty’s Station, reflected on the anniversary by saying, “These two years have been an incredible journey of growth, hope, and transformation for everyone involved. The interns who have come through our doors have not only gained valuable skills but have inspired us all with their resilience and determination. Liberty’s Station is more than a training center; it’s a place where lives are changed. As we look ahead, we are committed to expanding our mission and continuing to empower those in need by unlocking their God-given potential. We are so grateful for the love and support of this community, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
