Smyrna, TN – In what could only be described as an odd and astronomically high value heist at a drug store in Rutherford County, the Smyrna Police Department hopes to be hot on the trail of a savvy shopper who reportedly decided to skip the checkout line—entirely. It went down on October 3rd, and the local shopper allegedly liberated the CVS store of over $2,000 in merchandise. The costly incident took place at the CVS store on the Old Nashville Highway at Hazelwood Drive in Smyrna three Thursday's ago and to date, no suspects have been named, which is why the subjects photo is now circulating social media.
Authorities have not released the exact goods that were allegedly hauled away at this point. The only thing that was said was that the items stolen were labeled as “merchandise,” as opposed to medications. And again, the retail items added up to $2,000!
As you ponder how exactly someone walks off with two grand worth of CVS merchandise (maybe a lifetime supply of shampoo? Enough candy to rival past Halloweens?), the Smyrna Police Department would like to remind you that they are keenly interested in this gentleman's identity.
