Smyrna, TN - Latinos for Tennessee PAC announced its official endorsement this week of State Rep. Mike Sparks, R-Smyrna, who is running for re-election in Tennessee House District 49, which includes Smyrna, La Vergne, and parts of northern Rutherford County.
Latinos for Tennessee Chairman Raul Lopez said, “Under Gov. Bill Lee, Tennessee continues to thrive and is one of the greatest states in the union to live, work, play, and retire. Sparks is firmly committed to expanding school choice and supporting free-market principles that will create greater wealth and prosperity for all. As the director of Tennessee’s only conservative Latino political organization, I will do everything in my power to ensure that Tennessee’s growing Latino community will support Mike Sparks for the Tennessee House.”
Sparks, a small business owner and lifelong Smyrna resident, is committed to fostering growth and opportunity within his community. He has been married for 35 years and is father of two sons and grandfather to two new grandchildren.
“I’m incredibly honored to be endorsed by Latinos for Tennessee,” Sparks noted. “During my time in the legislature, I’ve been passionate about advocating for the issues this organization prioritizes, including faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility. I look forward to continuing to work on behalf of the people of Rutherford County to make Tennessee an even better place to live.”
Sparks' background includes service on the Rutherford County Commission and the Smyrna Planning Committee.
