Murfreesboro, TN - A Wednesday (11/20/2024) afternoon traffic crash in the 800 block of NW Broad St. slowed motorists heading home from work. The multi-vehicle incident took place at the entrance to Jackson Heights Shopping Center.

The good news is that paramedics checked out the people involved, and there were no serious injuries. However, it appears that when the repair estimates are made that there will be some "sticker shock" quotes.

As we near the Thanksgiving holiday next week, local law enforcement told WGNS that next Wednesday, the day before turkey day, is nationally the heaviest travel day of the year.

In addition, they announced that there would be a sobriety check-point this coming Friday night (11/22/2024) from 10PM - midnight. It will involve all lanes of traffic in both directions on Highway 231-South, the Shelbyville highway.
