Woman and Two Pets Escape Late-Night Apartment Fire

MURFREESBORO, TENN. - A woman and her two pets safely escaped a fire in their apartment just before midnight, authorities confirmed.

 

The fire broke out in an upstairs unit at the Colony House Apartments on Huntington Drive. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, where firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further.

 

Responding to the call were crews from multiple units, including Ladders 1, 4, 6, and 8, Engines 7 and 9, Rescue 1 and 4, as well as Battalion Chiefs 1 and 2, and Safety 1 and 2. Their combined efforts brought the situation under control.

 

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office. No injuries were reported.
