The National Sports Media Association (NSMA) has announced its 2024 Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year finalists, and Murfreesboro's very own Chip Walters of the Blue Raider Network has earned a coveted spot among the nominees. Walters, a familiar voice to fans of Middle Tennessee State University athletics for decades, has been a longtime fixture in sports broadcasting.
Chip can be heard on WGNS calling MTSU football and men's basketball as well as host of the Roundtable program each Wednesday from 9-10am.
The NSMA, which was founded in 1959, celebrates excellence in sports media by recognizing outstanding sportscasters and sportswriters at the state and national levels.
