McMinnville, TN – A triple homicide remains under investigation in McMinnville, TN, following the grim discovery of three bodies this past Wednesday morning. Deputies from the Warren County Sheriff's Office initially found a deceased male inside his residence at 900 Merry Oaks Road. During the investigation, two additional bodies were located in an outbuilding on an adjacent property being used as a residence.

The victims have been identified as homeowner William Piechocniski, who was found inside his home, and Dana Ramsden and Otis Hawks II, who were discovered in the outbuilding on the neighboring property.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office immediately enlisted the help of the District Attorney’s office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), Homeland Security agents, and McMinnville Police detectives. Evidence linked to the crime was uncovered in both Nashville and Memphis, leading authorities to identify potential suspects.

The investigation soon shifted to DeKalb County, TN where Jessica Root was apprehended. Caleb Dias Brookins, another suspect, was found traveling in a vehicle driven by Hannah Rose, who allegedly attempted to evade law enforcement. During the pursuit, Rose struck a Homeland Security agent with the vehicle, prompting a brief but intense chase that included gunfire. No injuries were reported from the shots fired, and both Brookins and Rose were taken into custody.

Jessica Root and Caleb Brookins now face three counts of Criminal Homicide each and are being held without bond in the Warren County Jail. Hannah Rose has been charged in DeKalb County with Felony Evading Arrest and Aggravated Assault for injuring the agent.

Warren County Sheriff Jackie Matheny addressed the tragedy in a Facebook post, asking for prayers for the victims’ families and the injured Homeland Security agent as he recovers.
