UPDATE: MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released more details about a Wednesday morning accident that occurred at the intersection of Franklin Road (Highway 96) and Fortress Boulevard in Murfreesboro. The crash took place around 8:30 AM and involved two vehicles: a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup and a 2013 Nissan Sentra sedan.

According to the preliminary report, 53-year-old Billy Hall, a Tennessee resident driving the Dodge Ram 3500, was attempting to make a left turn onto Franklin Road. At the same time, 32-year-old Raul Cruz of Florida, driving the Nissan Sentra, entered into the path of the truck. The collision happened when the sedan crossed directly in front of the larger pickup truck.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Despite this, the impact resulted in injuries, and both men were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As of Thursday morning, no charges have been filed against either driver. However, the Tennessee Highway Patrol indicated that charges may be filed, pending the outcome of their ongoing investigation.
