Governor Bill Lee has declared a state of emergency due to the winter storm, forecasted to dump 4-8"+ snow across the Volunteer State.
SCHOOLS
RUTHERFORD COUNTY SCHOOLS - CLOSED - the central office will be closed all extracurricular activities are canceled
MTSU - CLOSED - only essential personnel report
GOVERNMENT
RUTHERFORD COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES - CLOSED - for all non-emergency personnel
SMYRNA TOWN OFFICES - CLOSED - for all non-emergency personnel
LA VERGNE CITY OFFICES - CLOSED for all non-emergency personnel
SPORTS
Several high school basketball games set for Friday night have been moved up to Thursday. Those include:
Blackman at Stewarts Creek
MTCS at PCA
Moore County at Eagleville
Rockvale at La Vergne
Giles County at Riverdale
Oakland at Mt. Juliet was unable to move from Friday to Thursday, so that game will be made up February 10th.
Region 6 Bowling Tournament scheduled for Saturday (January 10th), 2pm, at Smyrna Bowling Center has been changed to Wednesday, January 15th at 2pm at the same location.
