SMYRNA – Just a week after reopening, Karin’s Kustard & Hamburgers in Smyrna has been forced to close its doors once more due to another unexpected accident. Reportedly a truck slid off an icy South Lowery Street and into their storage building.
The incident has sparked concern among customers, with some on social media suggesting the addition of a barrier wall on the street-facing side of the property for added protection.
The family-owned eatery had recently reopened on January 3rd after completing months of repairs from a previous accident in November, when a vehicle collided with the building, causing significant damage. Thanks to the hard work of local businesses, contractors, and the Smyrna community, Karin’s was able to make a comeback to the delight of its loyal patrons.
Despite this latest setback, Karin’s owners, Karin and Brad Dyer, remain optimistic and plan to reopen as soon as Tuesday.
Karin’s Kustard & Hamburgers continues to be a staple in the Smyrna community, known for its signature custards and hamburgers.
Keep an eye out for updates on Karin’s reopening and be sure to stop by to show your support for this local gem when they open back up.
