Linda Malone Williams, age 75, passed away January 8, 2025 in Murfreesboro. She was born in Indianola, Mississippi and was a resident of Cannon County. She was a retired elementary teacher. All who know Linda were inspired by her love, her faith in Christ, and her consistent encouragement and light she shined even while dealing with her constant pain from her battle with cancer. She never stopped thanking God for every day. Linda’s gift was bringing joy to this world and hope for those who needed uplifting. She will be greatly missed, but all who loved her celebrate that Heaven shines brighter now and she’s free from pain at last.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Eugene Malone and Lucille Weldon Malone. She is survived by her beloved son, Michael R. Williams; brother, Kenneth (Jo Anne) Malone; nieces, Sarah Hatcher, Hannah Malone, Rachel (David) Montero, Elizabeth Malone; nephew, Nathan Malone; great-nephews, Everett and Waylon Hatcher and Valentin Montero.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Monday, January 13, 2025 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Jennings and Ayers with John Bush and Zane Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and her nurse Dana, her tech, Shana and the rest of the staff who provided such wonderful care for Linda.
