WILSON COUNTY, TN - In Lebanon, Tennessee, a high-tech tool known as “SafeNet” proved its worth this week when it alerted local law enforcement to a stolen license plate traced back to Smyrna. Thanks to the vigilant police officers and some swift action, a vehicle linked to the theft was spotted and brought to a halt near the intersection of Hartman Dr. and W. Baddour Pkwy.

The drama unfolded when officers located the suspect vehicle and discovered that the driver, a 33-year-old woman from Murfreesboro, was in possession of stolen property. In addition to the female, a 39-year-old male passenger, also from Murfreesboro, found himself in a bit of a bind as well—he was arrested for carrying drug paraphernalia.

In a statement following the quick arrests, Lebanon Police expressed their gratitude for the hard work of their officers. “We appreciate the dedicated efforts of our officers in serving our community, and the technology we’re able to utilize to enhance our mission of safeguarding our citizens!” They emphasized, clearly happy that technology and teamwork led to a successful outcome.

Always think twice before taking what doesn't belong to you—especially if you're cruising around in a car that’s flagged by the long arm of the law’s tech-savvy tools!
