A residential fire that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Rutherford County is under routine investigation. The blaze took place at a home in the 1100 block of Winding Branch Drive near Rucker Road in Christiana.
Responding to the 3,018 square foot structure were firefighters from the Rutherford County Fire Rescue Department, the Christiana Volunteer Fire Department, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and officials from StormPoint. Upon their arrival, they confirmed the fire was confined to the oversized garage attached to the house. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the increasing flames.
When firefighters arrived, they located a white 4-door sedan parked in the garage. The car, which appeared to be a Cadillac XTS manufactured between 2013 and 2019, had its hood open, indicating work was being done on the vehicle when the fire broke out. However, the exact cause of the has not been released by the Fire Marshal’s Office at this time.
