Murfreesboro, TN - Once again Murfreesboro Police Department's REAL TIME CRIME CENTER to the rescue. Around 8:00 o'clock Wednesday night (1/29/2025), the gunshot detection technology detected "shots fired" near 1315 Lascassas Pike. Officers were immediately dispatched before calls from the public started.

Murfreesboro Police PIO Larry Flowers told WGNS, "No one shot, no injuries."

He explained that callers told dispatch that a car was hit by a bullet. Witnesses told police that someone fired multiple shots into the air."

The great news is that Murfreesboro Police were "on the scene" when the calls started coming-in.

As one observer noted, "This past week alone, the new  REAL TIME CRIME CENTER has led officers to places where help was needed quickly. Hopefully, word will get out to criminals to avoid this community."

If you saw or heard anything, please contact Murfreesboro Police at 615-893-1311. If you prefer to remain anonymous, contact CrimeStoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867).
