A group of Amazon.com employees in the Murfreesboro warehouse have filed suit against the company because they believe they should be paid for the time that it takes to check out of the facility. The workers say they were off the clock when they left the plant and underwent a security check. The security check in question evidently occurs when workers exit the warehouse and the employees believe they should be paid for the 20-minute interval of time that it takes to conduct the anti-theft security operation.
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville.
