A local church is getting ready for Christmas right now. Sound unusual? There is a good reason for it and that reason involves children in our community.

The Riverdale Baptist Church will host their annual “RBC Toy Store & More” on December 7th from 8 to 5. The event is geared at helping low income families in our community.

The toy store allows for low income residents to select toys for their children free of charge. Registration is required and pre-Registration ends Nov. 30th. Participants can also register on the day of the toy store event December 7th.

Details:

Pre-Registration shopping begins at 8 am. New registration shopping begins at 11 am. Parents/guardians must provide identification such as picture id, proof of Rutherford County residence for each adult (such a utility bill, rent receipt, hotel receipt etc.), parent/guardians social security card or something with the information on it, names and ID for each child showing his/her name and age (such as birth certificate, report card, etc.)
