Three men, including a Rutherford County Commissioner, turned themselves in on Thursday to multiple charges after an indictment was handed down by a November Grand Jury. This news in after the three were accused of assaulting an alleged business associate.

County Commissioner Matthew Young, Murfreesboro businessman Arthur “Bubba” Hutson and Mississippi resident Harvey Felsher are charged in indictments returned by the Rutherford County Grand Jury with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and extortion. Young and Hutson are also charged with simple domestic assault.

All three men turned themselves into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center around 10:45 Thursday morning for booking and were release on a 100-thousand dollars bond about 30-minutes later.

The indictments stem from an alleged incident suggesting the men supposedly assaulted Kenneth Cooper of Nashville in July of 2012 after he reportedly sold them counterfeit tickets to a Justin Bieber concert at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The reported assault was said to have taken place in the home of Hutson on East Main Street in Murfreesboro. After the incident, Commissioner Young evidently called Sheriff Robert Arnold. What was said during that conversation has not fully been released. News Channel 5 in Nashville reported that the trio transported Cooper to the Sheriff’s Office after the incident, but no charges of wrongdoing were filed.

The courts confirmed with WGNS that the charges are as follows: 

We spoke to Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans about the allegations from 2012 and requested a copy of the police report that would have been filed after the incident was reported, due to the fact that the alleged crime occurred in the city. Sgt. Evans stated in an email, “There is no report to release. I can't discuss the case other than to say we are investigating an assault.”
