Blackman area schools were briefly placed under Code Yellow “Alert” Friday morning after reports of a nearby domestic disturbance. James Evans, spokesperson for the Rutherford County Schools told WGNS…
“The sheriff’s office advised the Blackman schools to go to on a precautionary Code Yellow alert this morning because there were reports of a domestic issue in the nearby area. The schools were advised around 9 a.m. that there was no longer any potential threat and the schools went back to Code Green. The schools are sending a message to their parents this morning to keep parents informed about the precaution the schools took. I want to emphasize that nothing occurred at school. This was simply a precaution. These sorts of precautionary lockdowns are typical whenever there is a potential issue in nearby neighborhoods.”
Again, the schools in the Blackman area are no longer on “Alert.”
What are the different codes?
