A listener writes that she had a blowout while driving on the Shelbyville Highway. The woman said that Rutherford County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Erwin was a “perfect gentleman” and insisted on changing her tire, even though she had called a family member for help. The woman noted that the traffic was very heavy on highway 231-South, and the deputy was concerned for her safety. He turned on the blue lights to warn approaching motorists, and then put her spare tire on the car. She told WGNS that Deputy Chris Erwin was her “knight in shining armor” and he rescued her from danger.
