The Bill Taylor Bushido School of Karate will be holding a FREE Ladies Self Defense Seminar Saturday, October 25th at 12:00pm. The class will be held at our South Murfreesboro location, 1911 Business Campus Drive, behind the Parthenon Restaurant just off South Church Street.
Self-defense is a skill every one should know, but recent news stories have brought specific attention to the need for women to know how to defend themselves in the case of attack. Also, with the holidays approaching shoppers are especially vulnerable.
"We have been training adults and children how to protect themselves and their loved ones for over 30 years here in Murfreesboro. It's not just our duty but it's an honor to provide these free classes", stated Dojo Founder, Sensei Bill Taylor.
Violence against women remains at unacceptable levels nationwide. The most vulnerable are typically women that have not been equipped with the knowledge on how to keep from being a victim.
Sandra A., said, "I've taken the class twice and learned how to educate myself on my surroundings and what to do should I suspect someone intends to do me harm. This class is very empowering. I'm bringing two of my girlfriends that need this training."
This class will cover how to avoid being chosen as a target, what to do if approached by an attacker and what to do if attacked. The class is FREE, but donations towards Women's Breast Cancer Awareness will be accepted. This class is open to both students and non-students, 13 years old and older.
