There is still no word on what led a white Murfreesboro man to pick a fight with a group of black men at a pool near MTSU on July 12th. The fight was caught on video tape and allegedly, Justin Hughes called out racial slurs to the group of black men before slashing one with a broken glass bottle. After the fight, Hughes allegedly tried to steal a car, pushed a girl who was a bystander and then tried to attack a Middle Tennessee State University Police Officer. Hughes was charged with vandalism and assault on a police officer. The man is out on bond. He will appear in court in the near future.
