Monday (7/18/11) brings the end to another downtown tradition. 'Boro music and video buffs have looked to Digital Planet as media changed over the years. The 111 West Lytle location took us through vinyl discs, cassettes, CDs, Beta, VHS and DVD's. Jim Laughlin, who has become an icon at the store for 18-years, told WGNS that the downtown treasures will be moved to an expanded Digital Planet on Robert Rose Drive, behind Home Depot. And since there is a resurgeance of vinyl, 25,000 albums will be placed at what is being called the Clearence Center.
