An older couple wrote WGNS telling about traveling on "eight-forty" one afternoon when they had a "blow out". They were having difficulty changing the tire, when Deputy Jim Jones with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office arrived. He pumped-up the spare tire, which was low--and then changed it. Then to make certain they got safely to the nearest tire shop before it closed, he escorted them there. Deputy Jim Jones with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office became the "Knight in shining armor" for one local couple in distress.
