The Rutherford County Clerk Office in Smyrna had to temporarily close down on Monday, but they reopened at around noon.

Evidently, a utility pole outside the office somehow caught on fire Sunday night or possibly during the early morning hours of Monday, they don't know exactly what happened, but the Elec. Dept. is on the scene along with Smyrna Fire. They are fixing the problem right now. We were told that the employees were not even allowed on the property due to the situation. Again, they reopened at around noon on Monday.

Good news - the fire is out.
