There will not be NASCAR races at the Nashville Superspeedway in 2012. This will end the popular Nationwide series and Camping World Truck series races after this year. Superspeedway Vice President Cliff Hawks says after ten years, without a Sprint Cup race, they simply can’t continue. Dover Motorsports, owners of the facility just over the Rutherford County line in Gladeville, says the events already scheduled won’t be impacted. The company is eying options, which includes a possible sale of the facility. CBS Sports is reported both series could return to the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, where they were held before moving to the superspeedway.
