A woman said that she walked into the Murfreesboro Police headquarters with a range of emotions: scared, embarrassed and irritated. She was the victim of abuse. She said Murfreesboro Police Officer Darryl Sanders was very patient and sincere as he explained her choices of action. The abused woman explained, "Being battered by someone you trust makes you feel as if you don't matter. Officer Sanders proved that wrong. Murfreesboro Police Officer Darryl Sanders is a great reflection of the leadership and integrity in this city."
