An on-going investigation with Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Drug Investigation Division and several other Middle Tennessee law enforcement agencies has resulted in the arrest of two Davidson County men charged with robbing an undercover agent.
TBI Special Agents have been working with detectives with the La Vergne Police Department, the Winchester Police Department and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on a long-term drug investigation. During an undercover operation Thursday night to attempt to purchase fake Percocet pills from two individuals, one of the agents was robbed by the two men at a parking lot in La Vergne. Those individuals have been identified as Caethean Davis, 21, of Antioch, and Dontarius Polk, 23, of Nashville. Agents and detectives subsequently executed a search warrant at Davis's residence and recovered pills, crack cocaine and a handgun. As this is an on-going investigation, additional charges may be forthcoming.
Thursday night, TBI Special Agents and detectives with the La Vergne Police Department arrested Davis and Polk and charged each with one count of Aggravated Robbery, one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Evading Arrest and one count of Tampering/ Fabricating Evidence. Davis and Polk were booked into the Rutherford County jail, where each is being held on a $150,000 bond.
