There was an armed robbery Saturday morning at a Smyrna bakery and donut shop. The crime was caught on surveillance video and showed the clerk and a customer being pistol whipped by the criminal. Juan Maldonado told police that the gun appeared to break while the thug was slapping the customer. Reports indicate the thug then quickly left in a green 2005 Mazda hatchback.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing jeans, a gray shirt and weilding a semi-automatic pistol.
