Being wanted in Florida on Grand Theft and Extortion charges is not a good thing. A Murfreesboro man was arrested on those charges after rolling into the car in front of him on Cason Lane. Roland Martir was taken into custody after police say he hit the car in front of him, left the scene and then drove to Nobody’s Bar and Grill. Police say they asked the female who was in the car with him where her significant other went and she said she dropped him off at the apartment complex down the street. That turned out to be a lie and police found the suspect inside the restroom at Nobody’s Bar and Grill. Police ran a warrants check on the man and that was when they realized he was wanted in Florida for theft and extortion. Mr. Martir was placed under arrest and also charged with leaving the scene of an accident, evading arrest with being a fugitive from justice.
