Drivers are not enjoying the long wait times at the drivers license testing station in Murfreesboro. A confrontation was even caught on surveillance video tape. The confrontation took place this past Friday after some customers waited for several hours before realizing they would not be helped on the day they showed up. Customers often take time off of work to get things done at the drivers license testing station and once there, quickly realize that they may have needed to take a full day off of work to change the status of their drivers license. According to the video footage, an employee told customers waiting outside the building at around 3:30 that they would not be served on the day of their visit because the office closes at 5 and they would not be able to get to their case by that time. The employee even told the waiting customers, “we don’t work past a certain time because we don’t get paid for it." When the customers waiting for service got angry about the news that they wouldn’t be served, a drivers license testing station employee threatened to call the police. That being said, if you have business to complete for your driver’s license… be prepared to wait a long period of time to be served. Also, get to the drivers license testing station early, that way you will have a better chance of getting in.
