About 50 people -- teachers and students alike -- shaved their heads Friday for a benefit fund-raiser to support an eight-year-old girl with cancer and the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
Staff members and students at Riverdale High School took part in the heading shavings Friday at 1 p.m. at the school. Participants have been raising money for Leah Smallwood, whose father is a graduate and former football player of the school.
Principal Tom Nolan will be one of those who goes under the shears. The school has been supporting the family for about four years now.
The school raised over 20-thousand dollars for St. Baldrick's.
