Rutherford County ties with Davidson County for low unemployment in the state

County unemployment rates for February 2016 were released on Thursday. The latest numbers show that the rates decreased in 93 counties, increased in one, and remained the same in another.

Rutherford County tied with Davidson County's unemployment rate directly behind Williamson County which has the lowest rate in the state. Williamson County has an unemployment rate of 3% and both Davidson and Rutherford County's hold rates at 3.3%.

Houston County had the highest unemployment rate in the Volunteer State at 8%.
