Performances are at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday evenings, and there are Sunday afternoon matinees at 2:00 o'clock. The theatre is at 1427 John Bragg Highway in neighboring Woodbury. Many patrons enjoy going early and having dinner in the down-home dining experience that's co-located with the theatre and an impressive Marly Burger Art Gallery.
"To Kill A Mockingbird" is set in small-town Alabama in the 1930s. It tells the story of a young girl named Scout and her first encounters with prejudice - as she, her friend and her brother try to contact their mysterious, reclusive neighbor, Boo Radley. Scout's father, Atticus, defends a black man, Tom Robinson, accused of raping a white woman in a racially-charged trial.
Directed by Scarlett Turney, this production features Sarah Kate Helton as Scout, James Bassant as Jem and David Cummings as Atticus Finch. The cast also includes Keegan Miller, Becky Hayes, Faye Northcutt-Knox, Becky Coutras, Andrew McKnight, Ted Verbeten, Michael McGee, James Atkins, Quintin Parnell, Phil Mote, Blanche Glimps, Steve Underwood, Richard Stickney, Alexandra McNamara, Matt Hunter, and Heather Willow.
