A stolen handgun has been recovered. The stolen gun was found during a traffic stop late last week. Dustin Alsup was pulled over for not wearing his seatbelt on Brown Drive. Patrolman Gibbs wrote in a police arrest report that Alsup appeared to be nervous during the stop. When asked why he was so nervous, Alsup told the officer there was a gun in the vehicle.  That gun turned out to be stolen. Gibbs was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and theft. He will have to appear in court on December 6th.
