Attention shutterbugs! Enter your photos now in the first ever Picture Perfect Rutherford County Photo Contest, sponsored by the Rutherford County Convention and Visitors Bureau (RCCVB).

Each photo submitted may be used in various RCCVB publications and on the RCCVB visitor website as a tool to promote Rutherford County. This is a great opportunity for amateur photographers to receive exposure for their work, and will help the RCCVB showcase our community as a fun and exciting destination for visitors.

After six months, all submitted photos will be judged and the top photos in each category will win dinner for two at an area restaurant or a $25 gift card to the Rutherford County Keepsakes gift shop. Photos will be judged based on content and quality. Categories include: People, Places, Nature, Events, and Food.

Contest Rules
1. Anyone is eligible to enter the contest; however, the photos must be taken in Rutherford County.
2. Photos must not feature the intellectual property of others (i.e. a registered trademark) and must be in good taste.
3. Limit ten (10) photos per person.
4. Entries must be received no later than March 21, 2012.
5. Please submit digital images in color, at least 300 dpi in JPG or TIF format, submitted via CD, DVD, or e-mail (max. file size 3 MB).

6. All entries become the property of RCCVB and will not be returned. All photos may be used in RCCVB media prior to the judging deadline.

7. RCCVB reserves the right to crop photos.
8. Photo credit is not guaranteed for all uses of image by RCCVB, but will be given if images are used on the website, www.ReadySetRutherford.com, or in our annual Visitors Guide.

9. RCCVB assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to submitted photographs.
10. Each photo must be submitted with the entry form, which includes a publicity release and permission to reprint form. All accepted photos may be used in various media formats for an unlimited amount of time and at no cost to RCCVB.

11. Contest entrants agree to all the rules and regulations set forth by RCCVB.
12. Judges’ decisions are final.
13. RCCVB is not responsible for any inaccurate or incorrect information about the submitted photographs.
14. RCCVB reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contest without notice.

We are looking for photos that represent all aspects of Rutherford County and all four seasons. Some ideas are photos of events, recreational activities, nature, landmarks, attractions, and people. Be a tourist in your own backyard and capture the moments for our visitors to see. Get creative!
