A pedestrian was hit around 11:30 Saturday night (10/1/11) in the downtown Murfreesboro area. The incident occurred in front of the Dodge Store at 510 Northwest Broad Street. According to Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services, the woman was 54-years old. She suffered multiple trauma and was unconscious at the accident scene. The victim was transported to the ER at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. It was determined that she needed to go to the Trauma Center at Vanderbilt, and was flown there by Life Flight helicopter.
