UPDATE: Man Shot on Old Fort Parkway

Murfreesboro Police have released the names of the men accused of shooting at a motorist on Old Fort Parkway this past Saturday night. The 20-year old victim told police he noticed an SUV following him when he felt his arm go numb. The man then realized that he had been shot and quickly called the police. Officers got a description of the suspect vehicle and made an arrest in nearby Smyrna.

20-year old Alexis Lopez-Rodriguez was taken into custody and charged with attempted second degree murder, possession of a scheduled 6 drug for resale, possession of a weapon in the commission of a crime and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also apprehended was 19-year old Brian Mota. Mota was charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug for resale, possession of a weapon in the commission of a crime and possession of drug paraphernalia. The two men are scheduled to appear in court on November the 2nd. The victim who was shot in the arm was treated and released from the hospital.
